COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS

Across the country and around the world thousands of young people devote themselves tirelessly to achieving their dreams of gymnastics success in the competitive arena.  But not everyone can be a champion, and not everyone earns a gymnastics scholarship to the college of their choice.  Competitive gymnastics is a hard, hard road filled with countless hours of preparation and extreme hardships.  And more often than not the paths to glory prove to be elusive.

But PYRAMID's success in the competitive realm has been unmatched.  It remains the only Marin gym to have a former student compete at the national championships -- The Championships of the USA.  That in itself is a rare accomplishment, and rarely achieved.  And even more-so is becoming THE National Champion and successfully competing as the No. 2 American on The US Team at The World Championships!!!

It's not easy, but all those accomplishments are ones PYRAMID can claim while just a few other gyms in the entire country can do the same.

Any girl or boy wishing to pursue competitive gymnastics is welcome to join PYRAMID's competitive program.

COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS

Marin's Greatest Tradition

Over the years many PYRAMID students have gone on to create their own stories of success.  One student in particular experienced his own brand  of gymnastics success. This was a child who started  his enrollment at PYRAMID when he turned three years old.  For the next 15 years without interruption he continued his enrollment with the same teacher at PYRAMID.  Where else have we seen that kind of longevity?  It’s unprecedented.  And even more-so, when that child graduated from high school he continued his competitive gymnastics career into college and post-collegiality.

So let’s take a look at some of this wunderkind's most memorable moments at PYRAMID:

There are LOTS of girls and boys who enter the competitive ranks — some as young as six years of age.  Many leave the sport soon afterwards, while at the same time newcomers are always coming on board.  Ultimately just a few will make it to the finish line as high school seniors. Those that do,  just a few of them will pursue collegiate careers.  Afterwards most retire, but there are the few exceptions in sport who go on to post-collegiate careers. And one of those post-collegians was OUR PYRAMID KID!!!
